San Benedetto del Tronto (Ascoli Piceno), March 4, 2011 -
A young sea turtle species 'Caretta - Caretta' was recovered yesterday morning on the north coast of Porto San Giorgio by the staff of the local maritime office.
The sample, about 40 cm long, in good general condition, may have been stranded by heavy storms of recent days.
After recovery, was delivered to staff of the Regional Natural Reserve of the bilge,
that can be followed in the structure of the first host of the University of Camerino, San Benedetto del Tronto.
In the coming days, however, after the first treatment, the turtle will be transferred to the Foundation Center Cetacea in Riccione for the recovery and rehabilitation.
